Brett is a visiting faculty member at the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB), where he teaches Corporate Finance, Decision Analysis (Managerial Statistics) and Strategic Management (Applied Governance) on the MBA programme – as well as short-term classes for various academic institutions in South Africa and abroad.

Prior to his academic interests, Brett gained extensive management experience through numerous entrepreneurial endeavours in media, FMCG, agriculture and property development. He has managed businesses to success and has held senior management positions in these industries. Brett’s consulting activities range from conducting market research and feasibility studies, developing business plans, capital budgeting exercises, strategy facilitation and development, business valuations and corporate governance and ethics advisory.

His research activities focus on scholarly and practice-based problems in strategy, finance and management.

Brett received his Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) and has further completed the Senior Management Development Programme at the University of Stellenbosch Business School – Executive Development. He also successfully completed a Post-graduate Programme in Data Science and Business Analytics at the McCombs School of Business (University of Texas), an Advanced Valuation Programme at NYU Stern School of Business, and is currently pursuing a Post-graduate Diploma in Applied Ethics at Stellenbosch University’s Department of Philosophy.

Kreneshin has worked for key role players within their respective industries: Internet Solutions (a division of Dimension Data), Cayenne Capital, Praxley Capital, Standard Bank, Vunani Capital and Deloitte and Touche.

He built diversified financial and managerial capacity via roles covering: Audit Senior, Investment Banker, Head of Equity & Leveraged Finance, Senior Manager for Corporate Finance, Business Operations Executive and two Directorships [Cayenne and Praxley].

Respected for his accomplishment in initiating and leading innovative programmes and processes to deliver maximum revenue for the business and client alike, Kreneshin deploys his years of expertise in areas including: Strategic Corporate Transactions & Advisory Management, Large Commercial Transaction Negotiation & Deal Structuring, Raising of Capital, Private Equity Investment, Mergers & Acquisitions and Optimised Risk and Change Management.

He holds a Bachelors of Commerce (Honours) in Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant.

Kreneshin is a core participant in securing top-down management of business prosperity, as well as encouraging bottom-up participation to facilitate continuous industry growth.

Wayne is a dynamic and results driven strategy expert with a proven track record, international experience and 20 years’ experience, Wayne has excelled in numerous industries including banking, manufacturing, healthcare and utilities (water, electricity and rail).

Early in Wayne’s career, working as a strategy consultant at PwC Consulting, he learnt the strategy trade, the art of options development and analysis, company valuations, compiling information memorandums and financial modelling. This lay the foundation to further refine his skills when he was headhunted for a role in the financial services sector before starting his own consulting business as well as subcontracting to The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) on several projects.

The projects Wayne has led have resulted in financial turnaround, raising of capital and a 10-year resource plan. In addition to this, Wayne has held a senior strategy position within a utility company in the United Kingdom for the last 4 years.

Wayne’s success is as a result of the key skills he has been able to develop through his career. His repertoire includes options analysis, corporate strategy development, financial turnaround implementations, information memorandum development, financial and business modelling.
